I’ll be flying up to Toronto for North By Northeast to moderate a panel on Friday, June 13.

I don’t know the exact name of the panel yet but it will be about festival programmers and how they find and book new bands. There are some great people on the panel from South By Southwest, Hillside Festival, CMJ, and Eurosonic. (more…)

I woke up this morning and headed over to the World Trade Center in Boston to pick up my number for a road race I’m running tomorrow called A Run To Remember (long story)

I had no change with me, as usual, so I ended up paying $12 to park in an all-day lot – when all I needed was about 30 min. Anyway, I thought I might as well make use of my money and at least check out the exhibits at the nearby ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art) since I had time. (more…)

I am happy to announce that as of yesterday, MTV is now part of the Sonicbids promoter community. We’ll be announcing a lot more details in the coming week but what this means is that:

- MTV will use Sonicbids to find and license music for all its TV shows;
- MTV will use Sonicbids to license music from three bands/artists that will play during the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards in September;

There is another great collaborative initiative in the works that I cannot make public until MTV sends out its official press release in the coming weeks but I am sure bands on Sonicbids will love as it will give you amazing exposure to a much coveted audience.
